Invitation to Mass Picnic at Lindholme

Pip Seccombe and Heather Skidmore and the Buddhist Community at Lindholme Hall, Hatfield Woodhouse near Doncaster have asked that their invitation to a mass picnic be shared on the web.

Thanks to the generosity of Peter’s many friends and colleagues and hundreds of others who shared his passion for Thorne and Hatfield Moors, £60,000 was raised and the land has been bought and paid for by the Buddhist Community at Lindholme.  It is deeded in perpetuity for conservation.

In celebration of this and to give everyone an opportunity to visit the land, a Mass Picnic is being organised for

Saturday May 11th between 11.00am and 5.00pm.

Drinks and light refreshments will be available, although visitors are being encouraged to bring their own food. You are welcome to stay for the whole time or just drop in.

The PEAT (skid) MOOR bank account is still open as there will be on-going management costs. A small Management Group of individuals, each with their own areas of expertise, has been set up to advise the charity. Some of the Management Group will be available on May 11th to answer any questions.  For more information visit the Lindholme website

It would be helpful to know how many are coming so could you reply please to pipseccombe@talktalk.net
